The course is instructed by our Musical Director\, Ed Dumas\, B.Ed.\, M.A.Ed.\, retired educator and band conductor with over 40 years’ experience. \nParticipants will learn: \nPerfect & major intervals \n• Primary triads in major keys \n• Minor intervals \n• Major & minor triads \n• Augmented & diminished \n• Dominant seventh chords \nIntervals \n• Chord inversions \n• Solfege names \n• Chord progressions \n• Transposition \n• Natural\, harmonic\, and \n• Counting 16th notes & and \nMelodic minor scales \nRests \n• Primary triads in minor keys \n• Cut time & common time \n• Arpeggios \n• Triplets \n• Harmonizing minor melodies \n• Compound time signatures \n• Intro to form in music \nCourse starts Thursday January 8th\, 2026 and ends Thursday April 9th\, 2026.
