On May 15
th, 2024, Oceanside Music hosted its AGM. During the meeting Members voted  in favour of changing the Association’s bylaws to add the position of Director of Marketing & Communications to the Board of Directors. 

For the fiscal year ending in 2025, the elected Board of Directors are:

President – Joe Ringwald

Vice President – Laurie Dumas

Treasurer – Ken Bibby

Secretary – Diane Korol

Marketing & Communications – Annabelle Cormack

Since then, four priorities have been established of which the Board will carry out in collaboration with Oceanside Music’s musical groups, Membership and community partnerships throughout the year. 

Operations

  • Building a structural foundation for continuity and succession
  • Standard operating procedures across all groups
  • Clarify and document roles & responsibilities for all Board positions 

Marketing & Communications

  • Develop brand recognition & protection
  • Standardize marketing and communications practices across all groups to further enforce brand recognition

Growth

  • Grow membership including individuals and groups that broaden the performance capabilities of the member groups and support vertical development of musical interaction for the community
  • Broaden audience appeal

Fundraising

  • Exercise the new sponsorship program 
  • Broaden grant application processes
  • Seek donation support through growth of our brand and the power of music
