Like a friendly tug-o-war, a-cappella versus audience, the Oceanside Consort Choir sang exquisitely, and, in response, the audience showed appreciation by clapping. At first, it was polite and timely but as Consort moved through a 60-year repertoire of songs sung by predecessors to present day, audience response grew louder and longer, and the Consort Singers performed stronger and stricter. Steadily, like a rising crescendo, Oceanside Consort A Cappella Singers were met with a standing ovation for their enduring performance. Many said it was the best performance the Choir has ever given! So, to the winner of this amazing match who showed strength, endurance, and tuneful melodies, we tip our hats! Congratulations to Oceanside Consort A Cappella Singers under the direction of Ann Barber Becqué for a lovely performance that took place on April 18th, 2026. (Submitted by Mary Ringwald, Member.)
